That is a good idea. But I will have to get in through someone working in these companies right? If I am not wrong, only the employees can post adds in their official classifieds portal. |
Yes, I think you will need to post through folks working in these companies. I feel there is a better chance to sell since there is a buyer mentality that it is 'car from a company colleague' or a 'colleagues friends car' so a buyer has some sort of follow up 'trail' in case it is needed'.
Car: Hyndai Accent CRDI
Year: 2006
ODO: 70500 (looks genuine)
Price quoted: 2,00,000.
What would be the bargaining price for the above car? Car looks stunning with hot alloys:D.

Personally, I would avoid it. Earlier Hyundai 3 pot CRDI engines were notoriously unreliable post 50/60ks.

I am surprised to hear that:eek:. One of my friend's car has clocked more than 1,70,000 kms on the ODO without a single engine issue.

You friend is lucky; i know at least 4-5 cars which had issues post 50K. parts are expensive and hard to come by. I would recommend to stay away
Pramod
Posting on behalf of a friend.
He has two options:
1) Ford Fusion (2006 model, diesel engine)
ODO: 95,000 kms
Price: 1,90,000
2) Fiat Palio (2004 model, diesel)
ODO: 50,000 kms (Owner out of the country for few years, hence less usage)
Price: 1,09,000
He is in a dilemma on which car to choose. Please share your valuable views which may help him.

Why the Palio? It is the 1.9D which was slow and is extinct now. Finding engine related parts will be an issue, its not turbocharged and fuel efficiency is also lower.
Tge Fusion is a 1.4 TDCi from Ford which still sells in the Classic. Its turbocharged, better performance, drivability and more efficient too.
Palio's ergonomics are also not spot on, Fusion's AC is better.

@ Vijay - If you can check the compression and service history and establish that it is genuine there is no harm going in for one
This is one of the few cars that doesn't have a torsion beam at the rear. The dynamics are hence better.

@ Pramod - I drive one and it has covered 1.1 lakh kms and other than Clutch Plate and suspension work nothing has ever been done. I know another Accent that has covered 1.6 lakh km without any issues.
Neither do I agree with parts being expensive. The clutch plate was changed at 95k kms and it was less than 18k in cost.
So would like to understand the expensive data point was mentioned comparatively. If so the brand details would be of help
Hope this isn't based on hear say !!

Thanks for the information. This will be forwarded to my friend. Requesting more information on how much he can bargain on Fusion.
Folks
What can be the price for a nov 2011 ford fiesta classic clxi tdci run 42k km, diamond white, with service history and in good condition?
This is for sale at Coimbatore, where used car prices are usually high.

Would like to know what should I expect to get for my 2011 Superb, 38k run, single owner. One year warranty and insurance. Not a single scratch on the car, excellent condition. Obviously I would like to sell it to an individual rather than a dealer. Please help people!
Thanks.
What should I quote for a 2000 armada? 57k genuine kms. I've been quoted 2 lakhs. Good condition.

You haven't mentioned whether it's a petrol or a diesel and the transmission type. Typically a skoda superbs value would depend on that.
