Owner mentioned he is selling it as he bought a BMW. :)

Now coming to the ownership, I understand Fiat is not selling any cars other than Compass. I own a 9 year old Punto D. If the Abarth can serve we well for another 3-4 years, I can switch to an electric car if the infrastructure scales up by then.

Buying a new car is something I'm not able to decide as the recent electric cars buzz is catching up. If I have to pick a new car I'm considering Altroz & Nexon. Please suggest!

Hello Guys, One of my close relatives is moving abroad and offering me his Tata Harrier XZ edition. The car has covered only about 10k km and was bought in April 2019. What would be the fair price for it considering the small niggles that earlier Harriers were known for and discounts offered now?

Exactly, their evaluation used to be very good but now it is too optimistic, may be to please it customers who are dealers 99%.

2016 Hyundai Elite i20 Asta 1.2 Petrol - 34000 kms run

I was just checking the value and got it evaluated with Spinny. Their first offer was 5.2L but went to 5.5 over the same call. They still want to price match with the non-existent buyer I told them about. 5.6-5.7 looks like their limit but I am quite surprised by the price as they will have to resell it. The interesting thing is Olx Cash my car offered 5.8L but that was back at the end of 2018.

Low-run premium petrol hatchbacks seem to have a good resale market.

Roadside assistance is the least of your concerns. Both Mahindra and Tata have a sizeable number of over the counter parts available in automotive stores compared to Honda, Ford or Hyundai.

I have traveled 35k+ km on highways last year, had a check engine light once due to a cut turbo hose. At that place, the nearest Ford dealer (for if I had taken my earlier ride a Fiesta) would have been 170 km away and compared to that, there was a Mahindra dealer within 20 km.

I agree to a certain extent. The only problem is that these "dealerships" are there in name only. I actually approached one of these A.S.S's with my Nano when the AC broke down in the middle of summer while we were in Sindhudurg district a couple of years ago. It was deserted. One "mechanic" (who didn't know anything about the Nano) and one stray dog. That's it. And this was a town by the name of Karad. Fair sized place. I guess this is where Maruti trumps all the other companies. Don't know much about Mahindra apart from hearing people who work for them recommending others against buying their products.

Found an S-cross 1.6L Delta. 2015 make, odo at 64k kms. 1st owner.
Asking 7 lakhs.
Also, tires are pretty worn out (Need to be replaced in another 2-3k kms).
Overall car in very good condition. What should be a good price? Please advise.

Somewhere around 3L if the car is in good condition. I don't think anyone will pay more than that for a Civic irrespective of the kms done.

Thank you. Shouldn’t a jeep petrol drop at least 30% of its value after 14-15 months? Thought that was the norm for most brands outside high volume movers like Maruti, Hyundai etc.

It does. But, if the seller is not in a hurry to sell you will most likely lose the deal. So, you can start your first quote from <70% OTR and negotiate further based on his likelihood of selling.

Folks, I'm being offered a 30,000 km run 2014 Hyundai Verna Fluidic (Petrol) EX AT for 4,00,000. Is that a good deal?

Also, my work colleagues are warning me against buying a Mumbai registered car "because of undercarriage rusting due to the coastal weather".. is that a thing?
