What’s the reasonable price for this test driven car?
Tucson, 2016, petrol automatic, test driven for 37,000kms, insurance lapse in another month.

Dealer asking price is 16 Lakhs. On-road price in 2018 was around 24 lakhs (approx).

Seems reasonably priced. Shoud be a great purchase at 15.XL as it would have lost 40% in depreciation.

How is the deal for getting an Innova Crysta Z AT 2017 model around 16 lakhs, which has done 36000 kms in three years.

Can be negotiated further as the 2.8 AT is now phased out. Otherwise, I would still say it's a fair deal for an Innova, if the car is mechanically in top condition.

I would say anywhere between 40-50% OTR would be a great buy, as it is a Hyundai Petrol Automatic with poor resale value and a test drive vehicle.

You may have to be ready for a Tyre change around 45-50K km. The Insurance , if not done yet will set you down by 35-50K , so be prepared for it.

The car seems mechanically sound. Tyres seem good for another 20000 kms as you mentioned. Insurance expired in july so that will cost around 45000. i will try to bring the deal down to 15 lakhs or 15.50 lakhs if possible.

Thanks a lot:thumbs up

Scale model maybe lol:

Jokes apart, I think it would be extremely tough to get a polo GT in that price range.

I don't think you'll get a working GT TSI at that price. lol:

Jokes aside I saw a really good example on Team BHP classifieds section. It's a 2015 single owner car, 4.25 lakh asking price. Check it out if you can stretch your budget.

Polo GT still has a decent resale value and I don't think you will be able to get one even below 4lac.
The only possible option is to get a used 2011-12Rapid/Vento petrol(50-65K driven) but then you may have to shell out a huge amount for maintaining them.
Getting a Honda City of the same age looks like a sensible option.

Neither GT TDI nor GT TSI would be available at such a price. But, what you may get if you scout thoroughly is a Polo 1.6, if you are extremely lucky.

You will get a reasonably used Alto at that rate.

Hello Team-BHP community,

I am in the market looking for a used car with a budget of ~2L. One of the preferences is driving experience over mileage.
I recently came across a well maintained 2008 1.3 G series Swift with 1L+ on the ODO. It has been in the hands of 3 owners.
Apparently it has new tyres and suspension, and also also been installed with dash and rear cameras.
The car has good service history as it has only been serviced in MS authorised centers.

The asking price is 2.2L which I feel is on the higher side for a 12 year old car with 3 previous owners. Can someone suggest a good price for this?
Thank you in advance :)

We are getting a 17000kms run Endeavor Oct 2017 , 3.2 top model in excellent condition at around 27lacs in Delhi NCR. Is it a ok price ? Does ford offer extended warranty on this ? Any specific thing we need to check. We will likely pick it up tommorow post inspection at Ford.

Hello everyone. need some urgent advice.

I am getting a 2016 skoda superb LK 2.0 TDI AT, 30000 kms run car at around 20 lakhs from a 2nd owner.

Two questions.

1) Is it a good price?

2) Should i go for a diesel auto now that diesel cars from this brand are stopped. How about the service and mantainence issues and spare part availibilities?

Looking forward to a quick response.
Thanks

No. Overpriced by a couple of lakhs if not more.

Skoda diesels are robust. Plus the DQ250 on diesel Superb is fairly reliable unlike the petrol variant's auto box.

Service experience will largely depend on your rapport with nearby service centres. I do not see any major issue with ownership unless you intend to use it beyond next 5-6 years.

Hi all, how are you all doing? I need some expert advice please. I've been on the lookout for an Accord MT preferably the facelifted version with the sunroof. I came across a 2013 model on CarWale, and the demanding price was 7.25L. I initially contacted the seller in July but didn't got anywhere due to personal commitments, I recently got in touch with him again, and the car was still available.

The car isn't exactly in an excellent condition, it needs servicing, fluid replacement, maybe some more immediate expense but I'm not sure since I haven't got it inspected at Honda also the battery had issues, the dealer blamed the lockdown for the battery drainage. I'm not sure if the battery needs replacement.

The odometer reading for the car was 56,000 km. But the dealer told me that the odometer has been reverted, and the car has been driven north of 85,000 km.

I offered 5L for the vehicle, but the dealer isn't budging below 6L. Can someone advice me what should I do?

Thank you so much!

...

Stay away from this car. How can you be sure that the car was not driven for say 1.85 lakh kms?

Find a car with a genuine service history preferably through a direct seller.
