Thank God those ghastly wheel arch (s) are not there. The car looks better without those.

Looks better the previous gen Indicas, am eagerly waiting for this to launch. I spoke to KHT motors SA and he told that the base model (without PS&AC) is priced at 4L ex-showroom bangalore. he is not sure about the launch date.

Cheers,
Rajesh

I wonder why TML can't put this engine to Vista and call it as Vista Eco or something. Given the benefits of FE, Vista has more potential than old gen Indica platform(V2/xeta).

I hope that they modify the front end also and make it look like the Indigo CS. The present car's front looks are not very attractive and lacks appeal.
With current looks, the TG clearly looks like the Taxi segment, who do not give much importance to the looks. If they do modify the looks, then common car buyers may also go for the car.

25 KMPL. Turbomax discontinued.

Didn't understand 2 things, what is the e in the e-V2? and what is auto drive assist?

Hi Sid, thank you for the brochures, any more information on this car ? Like pricing and DoL ?

Cheers,
Rajesh

e-V2 e=Economy :D

Auto Drive Assist could be somthing similar to Crusie Control stupid:

'e' as in eV2 or eCS is Tata Nomenclature for vehicles having their CR4 (indigenous Common Rail engine) and stands for 'Eco' since these vehicle's high fuel efficiency translates to them being more eco-friendly.

On a lighter note, Yes people do associate same with 'economy' as has been pointed in the thread and why not, after all it is economical ! :thumbs up

Auto Assist or Hill Assist is a common feature in many premium segment SUV vehicles and has over the years trickled down to hatchbacks and sedans but on a value for money vehicle, Tata seems to have done a good job!

What happens is that when you drive vehicles on hilly terrain with gradients, vehicles tend to roll backward (sometime even stalling) initially if you leave clutch too early.(common scene while driving through ghats or even in high gradient roads of some societies in Bombay).

With hill assist, vehicle eliminates any such problem. Added benefit for others is that vehicle is more resistant to people who tend to leave clutch too early and end up stalling car. Great for learners.

What about Rear Wash and wipe, Rear Demister and engine immobilizer features? These are necessary safety features for personal car buyers.

I was expecting FE in the higher 20's. Well, 25 is still an improvement.

This could very well be the budget car of choice for 2011. With this mileage, space, performance and practicality, TML is sitting on a very good product. Though an old platform it has better potential to sell well in semi urban markets.

I repeat - if only TML had a VISTA eV2 variant...

While the V2 weighs 995 Kgs, the EV2 weighs 1080 Kgs.. a full 85 Kgs xtra for the Crdi Endine
Considering that the Scorprio 2.2 weighs a total of only 80 Kgs... what makes the Dicor - 4 80 Kgs more than the tdi (which I guess woule be pretty heavy by its own standard)

How many more versions of Indica we are going to have?

Indica V2, Indica e-V2, Indica e-V2 Xeta, Indica e-V2 Xeta LPG,
Indica Vista QJD, Indica Vista Safire, Indica Vista TDI, Indica Vista 90.

Is there any more versions of Indica?

A basic question. The old Indica diesel engines were indirect injection engines. Are CR4 engines direct injection engines? Couldn't find any specs for this.
