Rally with a sea view- for people from Kolkata and Ranchi.

It’s going to be a drive by the sea, but it’ll be far from leisurely. If you are game for some serious driving on dirt, slush and sand, the Rally De Sea View will give you a chance to prove your mettle while never losing sight of the waves breaking.
The rally, to be organised from July 7 to 9 by Ramakrishna Race Performance Management, is of the time-speed-distance (TSD) format.
The principal organiser is Arindam Ghosh, who had won the last Digha Rally in 1997. “I organised another rally at Digha in 1998. But since then, there hasn’t been a sea-beach rally in Bengal,” said Arindam. His son Amittrajit, who has won the South India leg of the Indian National Rally Championship, is another organiser of Rally De Sea View.
The rally, approved by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India, will not be held on a beach, but on dirt tracks in Shankarpur, Mandarmani and Contai, running parallel to the sea. The total distance covered will be 150km, in two legs. “The first leg will be from Shankarpur and run through Mandarmani and Contai before ending at Shankarpur. The second leg is from Shankarpur, Mandarmani and finish at Contai,” said Amittrajit, who is the additional clerk-of-the-course.
