We are pleased to launch a new RC Off-Road Racing series for India. The Indian RC Dirt Series.

Organised RC car racing started in India back in 2009. We still remember the first race like it was yesterday. We have had several races in the following years around the country.

We understood that there was a vacuum in India's RC racing scene – continuity of racing events and ranking system of racers. Lack of continuous national level and club races leaves a big gap in the sport for enthusiasts. We are unable to remain competitive due to the long duration between each race.

Our exposure to international racing and feedback from our RC well-wishers from Malaysia, USA and Thailand pointed in one direction. Racing, Racing and more Racing!!!

So we put our minds to create a platform for Indian racers to attend continuous races over a calendar year. The Indian RC Dirt Series is the brainchild of 3 hard-core RC enthusiasts – Bharath Penmatcha, Murali Kannadhason and Ajo Joseph.

The Indian RC Dirt Series is like no other race that has been conducted in India. The series will be run over multiple pre-determined rounds. It will also incorporate a F1 style point system to rank drivers across different categories. This will allow a Series Champion to be decided for each class at end of the season. An Overall Series Star Champion will also be announced to encourage participation across multiple classes.

We strongly believe this will bring in more competition to the racing scene. It will also encourage racers to attend future rounds and benchmark themselves. We also hope this will motivate promoters to build new tracks and popularize racing.

We look forward to your support in running this series. The details of the race series will be included. The Indian RC Dirt Series will evolve over period of time with active participation and feedback from you. We look forward to catapult Indian RC racing to the next level.

The entry fees for Round 1 is as follows:

Beginners class - Rs 2000 for one class. Rs 2500 for unlimited classes.

Expert class - Rs 2500 for one class. Rs 3000 for unlimited classes.

All registrations have to be done in advance via the google form. For Registrations after 10th Aug 2013 and onsite: Rs. 300 extra. Payments via cash on track.

Track Usage fee applicable for practice session on August 14-16: Rs. 200 per day. Track will close for maintenance at 5pm on August 16th.

Timing equipment, if required for practice Rs.300 ( refundable security deposit of Rs 1000 applicable)

For those with personal Transponder: Rs. 50

Participants will be provided, Tables, Chairs, Air Gun for cleaning the cars and other basic amenities on Track.

How do the Tamara RC cars from the US fare on the racing front? I dont have any knowledge but have heard a bit about them. Can you shed some more light on the makes, fuel types etc.?

Never heard of Tamara brand. Are you referring to Traxxas? If yes, they are primarily intended for Beginners. But some models like Slash and Revo line are used for racing. They can be upgraded as you gain experience.

RC is an ocean. Please do some basic research and once you are more aware, I can help.

Cars up and ready for action. Fully rebuild. Diffs, shocks need mandatory rebuild and setup for track. Bearings need to be replaced. Bodies painted.
Final setup of camber, toe-in, ride height, droop, etc need to be done.

Super effort mail4ajo. We have had a couple of rounds in Panvel mumbai, but the track isn't anywhere close to what you have there. Looks fantastic. Hope something like this comes up in mumbai so we can join the fun as well.

Yes. Mumbai needs to have a track. We have about 8 racers from Mumbai for round 1. Keep pushing your local hobby distributors and promoters for a track. We can have a future round there.
