JK tyre has announced the launch of IndiKarting National Series. Through this event, the company plans to make motorsports accessible and affordable for enthusiasts who plan to make a career in it. This series will be a stepping stone to higher forms of single seat racing.

The IndiKarting National Series will feature single make 4-stroke karts to ensure that the competitors are on a level playing field. The FMSCI approved professional series of five races will begin from April 23 at Pune followed by Goa, Vadodara, Ludhiana and Delhi NCR. The candidates will be divided into three categories:

1. Pro Cadet (age 7 to 12)
2. Pro Junior (age 12 to 16)
3. Pro Senior (age 16+)

The winners will get a sponsored entry into the JK tyre National Rotax Karting Championship.

Additionally, the event will also have support races under seven categories:

1. Interschool (age 12 to 16)
2. Senior Amateur (age 16+, exclusively for newbies)
3. Senior Open (age 16+)
4. Corporate (age 24+)
5. Women (age 15+)
6. Master (age 32+)
7. Senior Plus (age 16+, minimum weight 80 kg)

Schedule:

Round 1 - Pune (April 23 & 24)
Round 2 - Goa (April 30 & May 1)
Round 3 - Vadodara (May 14 & 15)
Round 4 - Ludhiana (May 28 & 29)
Round 5 - Delhi (June 11 & 12)
