Abdul Waheed Tanveer of TVS Racing edged out his experienced teammate Aravind KP by seven seconds to bag his maiden Pro Expert class for Super Bikes crown in the MRF 3rd Rally of Karnataka, the opening round of the 2016 MRF MoGrip FMSCI National Rally Championship for two-wheelers, in Bengaluru on Sunday (May 1).

Tanveer clocked a penalty time of 1 hour, 1 minute and 38 seconds to take his maiden victory in the national championship in this class, a release from the organisers Karnataka Motor Sports Club said. The second round of the six-round championship will take place in Nashik on May 14 and 15.
