| ![]() Finally India getting its fair share of racetracks slowly! Although it will take years to saturate, more and more Indians are finally opening up to the idea of supercars and superbikes. I hope all of the larger cities especially Bangalore (and Kerala) where there quite a lot of folks looking to track their cars get a racetrack. All the best to this entrepreneur! ![]() |

| ![]() A few corrections: - The track is not owned by Nishant Saboo, but is instead owned by the owner of Takumi Garage. - The track is not named behind the 488 Pista. The word, “Pista” means track in Italian. Otherwise, it’s fantastic to see new tracks pop up in various parts of the country. There’s nothing more that a F1 fan would want to see in our country (except F1 coming back to India). |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Good to see this! Circuits definitely have a better future down south! My hunch is that the Indian GP would have survived if Buddh International Circuit was somewhere in MH, KA or AP. Too bad Bernie and his fellow accomplices here had other priorities. Anyways, coming back to this one, the highlight is unmistakably the Corkscrew if they can really pull it off. Ideally each circuit should have its own signature highlight - like the Raidillon at Spa or the 130R at Suzuka. But, I really don't mind having another Corkscrew in this part of the world. As someone who had the luck to walk the whole circuit while attending the Moto GP in 2009, I can really say that it is like nothing else out there. In a very short span, the track just drops almost 6 floors!! Its really jaw dropping to watch a man and machine in full sync through that. A TV screen cannot do any justice!! That drop is comparable to what they have claimed here for this circuit - 59 foot. Let's hope these guys can walk that talk and the final outcome is not far off. Here is two champs giving it their everything at Leguna Seca. I had hoped to see one of them on the top step in 2009, but Pedrosa had other ideas that day! ![]() |

| ![]() I'm no expert on race tracks but having ridden on quite a few on two wheels, I saw a small challenge in the layout. Not sure If I'm thinking right but, if the track is clockwise, the pit-lane exit leads to the straight, pretty close to the exit correction line from last corner/entry transition line to the next one. On the contrary, if it is anti-clockwise, the pit-lane entry is absurdly placed in the middle of the main straight. This will lead to racers scrubbing speed at the entry point. Vulnerable, damaging to the surface and of course, the machines themselves. Last edited by roadrunner_nv : 12th November 2020 at 11:12. Reason: Spell check |
