Motorsports Series in India

Over the past several months have seen various articles indicating that Formula1 is coming to India, that there is going to be a IPL type of race series, by various factions, according to the articles everyone from Mr Vicky Chandhok to Spice Energy, via Mr Seghal, with something called Team India Racing are coming.....
Add in the fact the status between MAI and FMSCI, with who is the auhorising body for such an event, or can either authorise....then we do have a melting pot of something, that for the average motorsport fan leaves much to be desired.
Any predictions about the state of motorsport in India...what would the average man like to see ?

The average man would like to see more motorsport events being held obviously and what every racer would like is for a good motorsports park being constructed so as to have a good variety as compared to the lonely two tracks at Chennai and Coimbatore.
Probably another thing which could ease things out is more categories of racing. That would accomodate more people and have fair competition.

business case

Do you think the business case exists for the investment required for a circuit, its has been widely reported the Sepang circuit buses people in and they can still not fill it, the Bahrain circuit though having the people is not a sell out event, etc, so if the top game cannot attract, and they have spent circa $200M upwards to develop the track, almost like laying a landstrip, then what business case is going to work in India....most circuits have a similar footprint to an airport or slightly smaller....
