Just got back from the track. Local boy Rajini had a podium finish (3rd place) in the second race of the 600 cc category!

Missed the first race of the day (115 cc) and started off before the last one (Stunner 125cc) as well, to avoid the rush. Spoke to nitrous over phone but could not meet him or any of the other BHPians.

Had a stroke of luck while entering the venue. Stopped to ask directions for the ticket counter from a couple of gentlemen standing and talking near their car, when one of them asked "do you want tickets"? When I replied in the affirmative he immediately whipped out two Rs 400 tickets and handed them over to us. Told us to inform anybody checking the tickets they were complimentary tickets for buying a Honda Stunner from Surya Honda, and there will be no questions asked. No questions were asked and junior had a ball, thanks to the good samaritan!

But while leaving home, forgot to take the camera mobile and took an ordinary one in our hurry, so no pics to post.

I know these pics should have probably come before the previous set... but anyhow. Here are a few pics of the start of the 600cc race. The chennai track looked awesome with all the flags and banners...

Hi, I too was there at the event. A big big thanks to Farhan (better known as Sideways) & Mr. Pramod Chandok for helping me and two of my colleagues to get media pass and so access to all parts of the track. I got a few decent ones, however it needs to be processed, after a tired day, it's time for me to hit the sack. Thought of uploading a couple of photos before signing off....

was a fantastic event, well organized & everything started on time, on dot.....

just loved the 115cc step though race, simply awesome, the GRUNT from these bikes are really good..

The new lap record for the chennai track is 1:43.6 seconds by Decha Kraisat in race 2 of the 600cc class.

Correction, its 1:44.6 not 1:43.6

Nope, team had budget for only 2 riders so Rohit and I had to skip it....hopefully next time
