I'm looking forward to the 1st F1 India GP.

Wonder what the cars & drivers would be like.
Any chance this would likely happen soon?

BTW do you have any circuit races & how often?

I honestly think that Indias chances of hosting an F1 race are a long long way off. Just look at what China has achieved...A couple of decades back, it was about on par with India in economic terms. Now they have Ferrari and Rolls Royce showrooms. And a superb F1 grand prix hosting!!

I agree with GTO that an F1 Gp is not coming to India anytime soon. I also think that it would be wiser to spend that much money on improving the infrastructure. I can't help wondering how the F1 personnel would react if India were to host a Gp in the next few years.

to put it bluntly.. there isnt goign to be an Indian GP.. ( being practical )
esp. after the gov.'s changed..no motorsport enthusiasts there !

think we shud forget about it for the next 8-9 yrs..

^I agree with you folk have to say...

look at any Indian paper - virtually no coverage of motorsport except F1 - and half the people who watch F1 is because it's cool and trendy.

popularise global motorsport on telly , sure but also bring a raceway to each major city so that real interest builds up.

I'd say, wait for another 15-20 years before anything like this happens.

lets aim to start with some SERIOUSLY ILLEGAL racing( fast n furious type) and with some serious driver training for people who hv really powerful fast cars like the CITY VTEC ( cant get over that car ) and the palio 1.6,,and the skoda RS petrol turbo,,since many peple would love to race if they could get some guidance,,pS did anybody check out the strip of road that i wrote about earlier,,it is located as follows,,from dockyard road station ,on P .D mello road,,ahead of the church on the left is a petrol station,,turn left,,then right at the end of road,,and follow the road till u come to the docks gate and the railway siding,,turn right and then right again,, you now have 8-10 kms of beautiful, dark empty isolated road ,, with no cops and only one toll booth
