We thought we'd never see this serpent roll out off the line again. We thought we'd never hear the rumble of a brand new 8.4L V10 block again, but wait, its back and how! These are the first EVER spy pictures of the 2013 Viper undergoing hot-weather testing around Death Valley. Rejoice!

Wow this is great news. Though they are obviously using the portion aft of the b pillar as a mule but the basic shape should remain the same. And is it just me or does the front remind anyone of a 599?
Nice rubbers! The hard top looks equally mean. And the 6ft bonnet!!! Nice to spin around and do donuts.
Never really been a fan of American cars but this was an exception. I was a fan of the RT-10 as a kid and slowly the Viper vanished from the scene.
But now its back and how. Just look at that displacement....8400cc ??? Lol.
Good to have the Viper back.
Dodge has started the teasers of SRT Viper on facebook. It is to be shown in NY Auto Show in April.

I feel the same about American cars except this one! Viper enjoyed no traction control all this time but now it will carry one, I hope stick will be standard. Viper has its own crowd and maybe it was never designed for masses. No traction control, interiors too pale, no automatic, seats were not comfortable for long drives. It was/is a pure American Hot Rod! Like old supercars, its hard to drive and it takes a lot to floor it. Hoping for the best, lets see how it comes out this time.
Looks like a mid cycle refresh!
Hope they bring back the hardcore look of the original. Over the years, the styling has been going soft
Thanks, Scorcher !

Even the pics in post #1 seem to be "leaked" the pics are conviniently clear. As if they stopped to pose at scenic spots like the gas station, the highways, and even regular parking lots !
Dodge has revealed the new Viper logo, Stryker.

I think its just you lol.
I agree with the others here. Never really been a fan of american cars. Although americans build stunners compared to the germans, (calillacs, mustang camero hummer and the list goes on) they are not really as efficient or refined as the germans. Anyways coming to the viper, just the fact that it has a 8.0l motor is more than enough to sell it to me. while most of the car are turning to turbocharged and supercharged engines, Viper is still the true American muscle just like the corvette zo6.

They had shown the exact same image in the new TG episode.
So, its no longer a Dodge, but a SRT Viper. I hope some Maserati tech gets on board the new Viper.

even though its a SRT Viper, its still a Dodge. SRT is just a brand differentiation.
Another snippet of news regarding the SRT Viper on Autoblog.
Is this the 2013 SRT Viper's new nose and hood?
The lower grille can be seen in the mold, which has a different design than the traditional Dodge crosshairs, differentiating SRT from Dodge.
Big fan of the car, can't wait to see it properly revealed.
