There is almost no chance of injury, if he was wearing his seatbelts. These modern supercars are extremely safe.

I remember some rich and famous guy in the US had crashed his Enzo at 180mph or something. The entire front portion of the chassis, the entire rear engine, gearbox, and rear axle unite had compltely got detached. All that was left was the cabon fibre tub in which the passenger sits. The guy walked away with nothing but bruises.

Compared to that this crash is just a dent in the bumper.

Going by the inevitable supercar fashion nowadays, an Aventador LP700 burned down to ashes today and the owner, somehow seems to be pleased with it.

See him posing for a pic with the car while the firefighters are putting the fire down?

UPDATE: The man pictured is not the owner, but rather the prospective owner. He was on a test drive. You can [COLOR=#417fb9]see video of it burning here[/COLOR].

With the latest in technology, is there no way to completely stop these "Sudden fires" from happening in exotics. There have been so many isolated incidents where Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Audis and the likes have caught fire. Also did someone notice almost of these sudden fire incidents happen on freeways and not in the city. It's a real pain to watch these uber-beauties burn, literally.

Aventador split into two is shocking indeed considering it uses CFRP for its construction.

Somehow the passenger compartment looks pretty much intact which is a good thing & looks like the driver & the passenger (if any) would have survived.

The rear sub frame has sheared leaving the carbon tub intact.
