Fiat Punto Sales : No. 1 in Europe

Fiat Punto, both original and the new Grande Punto have raced to the top of the sales charts in Western Europe last month according to official data from 15 countries. Sales figures:

1. Fiat Punto : 37,977 units
2. Renault Clio : 36,016
3. Ford Fiesta : 31,470

No VW Golf or even the Polo in the top three?

I would still prefer a Renault Clio as much as the punto.

I doubt Ford Fiesta is as good.

The punto is selling really well....because i see quite a few of them on the streets here.......cos they've worked a lot on the car in terms of quality fittings on the inside and out.

Its good to see fiat bouncing back to good sales charts.

Hey Salil, your one lucky guy living in a land where everything is beautiful. Tell me whose more hotter? Italian cars or Italian women?

Anyway, here is another link talking about Fiat's improving sales numbers. The report says Fiat recieved orders for 160,000 Grande Punto's in february alone! Alfa 159 seems to be doing well with almost 27,000 orders in February.

Another article talking about Fiat bouncing back to health. This article says Alfa Romeo sales are also on a upswing and the company should end 2006 with a 35% increase over last year.

Masaerati sales are up 10%. 3000 units of the Fiat Sedici SUV are sold prior to the car's March 10 launch in Italy.
