Rental car - Yellow monster (Chevy Camaro)

I was pleasantly surprised that my online booking was fulfilled by the rental agency with this interesting looking vehicle.

Once I got over the challenge of stowing my luggage through it's tiny boot door, I started to realize that it was cool stuff (i.e., hot wheels).

Appreciation that started to reflect in lots of positive comments and drooling appreciation from perfect strangers. When this happens in a high tech city stateside (translation, lots of cool cars around) it finally dawns on me that this is pretty amazing stuff.

I did have a spot of bother trying to figure out how to retract the roof. Quick googling on a friend-of-friend's smartphone nailed it. We had nice drive in the sunny and slightly nippy afternoon. With quite a bit of envious looks from passerby cars.

One very cool feature was the projection of electronic speedo display on the windshield from an embedded projecter in front of the steering wheel. Driver doesn't need to glance away from the road up front to see the speed. It was just awesome - regret not taking a picture of that one.

Such convertibles would be surely worth saving up for, only if they ever get launched in India!

So, here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Hope you had a nice time with the car.

The last time I was in US, this is exactly what I wanted to rent. But there were four of us with a good amount of luggage. And we had a 800 miles round trip planned for the weekend. So got a Camry instead. Will get this the next time I head to US.

The dashbaord instrumentation is all retro look,i wonder why??? A modern touch like the Corvette would have been good though.

+1 to that especially the 4 temp and pressure gauges. Look kind of out of place.

But the entire package is drool worthy. You sure are lucky.

Roadfiend, nice ride my friend. It feels good to listen to your hear once in a while doesnt it !

And since the Transformers series, this car is even more so popular back there I would guess. (Remember bumblebee ?)
