This is it — the 2013 Dodge Dart, the new Alfa Romeo-based compact car.Based on Alfa Romeo's Giulietta platform, this spawn of the Fiat-Chrysler merger's going to be Chrysler's first decent attempt at winning over the ever-expanding compact space since the Dodge Neon.I just love the looks, waiting for it to be launched in Dubai.

Could the new Fiat Linea be based on the Dodge Dart? Fiat and Chrysler-Dodge are now building cars on the same platform.

FIAT India has confirmed today, the new linea will not be based on the Dart, since its bigger and in the next league. More of Civic or Corolla segment.

I liked it but then it reminded me too much of the Dodge Neon.

Though Fiat has denied it . Many of the angles of the car ( save for a bit more sharper lines ) resemble the curves of the Linea.

Being a proud owner of a Linea am waiting to see what the next generation would look like. The increase in GC and a couple of more features don't cut the cake for me.

Is it me or is there a striking resemblance to the fluidic verna's side profile/glass house and back. Also a bit of the 2011 Ford fiesta in there IMO !

Mopar is celebrating its 75th year, Dart gets a special edition too along with 300,compass and 500. Its pumped up to 210hp.

It is atleast 100mm(LxW) bigger than Linea, so it will sit above Linea if FIAT is having a thought of bringing this platform here.

There is also a Dart SRT4 version with 300hp in the works to compete against Focus and WRX-STI.
