+1. By looking at it, it certainly looks to be based on Pixel Concept.

as per that press release, No mechanical connection with Pixel or Nano and its not a TATA Motors product. its from TATA Technologies

Here are the pics of the Tata eMo concept displayed at the Detroit Auto show.
Even though it was unveiled seperately, it was one of the 3 concepts shown at the Michelin Design Challenge stall outside the main display hall. The other concepts were Renault and Honda.

I know it has no relevance to the final product, if at all it reaches that stage, but is it even possible to enter the rear seat without opening the front door? The rear door is too short in width, and the front door stretches beyond the front seat.

If you look carefully there is no B pillar. The door locking is on both doors. To open the back door, the front door needs to be opened. To close, you have to close the back door first then front.

The removal of the pillar, makes entry easy+ saves on one lock

It's ugly front on, but such tech is the way we're headed. Good to see that Tata is reaching out to markets where such cars will be readily embraced, but really, that name is a real no-go.

The press release mentioned, it is not for production, but to illustrate Tata Technologies design capabilities. Defenitely it looks much better than the other 2 winners of design challenge.
