+1 , However this seems to be an amg version, with that body kit. But it is definitely a step forward in terms of design.

Mercedes Benz is all over the place these days. I mean first they came out with some outstanding looking models (SLS, CLS, A class) and than some
ridiculous ones such as the SL.

What the GL truly needs and I believe this one gets is a huge weight loss program, and also a better interior, but looking at spy shots I believe it will only be a minor upgrade from ML just like the previous generation, problem is by the end of their 7 year life cycle these cars get too dated as they come out only few months before the S, and that makes all other cars and in it's segment a lot more advanced later,

Mercedes in next generation needs to address the timeline issues that ML and GL face, it's very very important,

In the second image it looks so much like TLC Amazon not a bad thing though.

There doesn't seems to much change in the overall shape but this looks way better than the current gen GL. This have a modern feel to it.

The all new generation new GL has just been leaked,
Looks gorgeous can't wait to see more specs on the GL 63, Mercedes is doing everything right with all new models, and the S is next!

Is it just me or does it really look so? Its gorgeous! but the tail lights looks BMWish!

Yes, Has a resemblance to the F10 5, but do understand a lot of designers keep switching jobs, for example Karim Habib who designed the BMW F01/02 7 series, for a year had moved to Mercedes as head of design under Gorden Wagagoner, so I won't be surprised during his tenure a lot of design elements were passed on including the very famous Celis Tail lamps BMW use,

Do you mean this tail lights in the S? I thought/think they are unique! or you are talking about 2013 S class? I hope he wont stick the three pointed star to the back of his new BMW design. Too much of switching jobs

I mean the upcoming S, check the spy pics you see the BMW kind of detailing in the rear lights, also you should see a bit more influence on the next C also as a lot of development happened that time.

Tons of designers swap which is why at times we see resemblances in cars and assume car makers are copying. See the Mercedes C W204 launch models door panels had a resemblance to Audi and I forgot his name but had swapped places from Audi to Mercedes at that time,
