Ford Fiesta MKVI is due MCE as it has been in 3yrs. since introduced worldwide. Spy photographs show slightly modified bumpers and Bonnet. WCF reports it may sport the 1.0 Ecoboost.

Looking at this facelift, I've to say the current Fiesta looks better!

Couldn't help but laugh on this!!

With Ford looking to bring in the Ecosport in India, I am pretty much skeptical if this facelift would hit our shores soon enough even if launched elsewhere.

The Ford Fiesta sedan hasn't been (exactly) a bestseller in our market. Originally priced stratospherically, the initial demand and interest was pretty low till Ford India did a complete revamp on the Fiesta sedan's prices, making it more affordable. It's a fantastic driver's car, and a great option in the C2 segment.

Now, the Fiesta sedan's facelift has been caught testing in China. Donning the Aston Martin-ish grille which was unveiled recently in the Paris Motor Show for the Fiesta hatch, other visible changes seem like:-

- a reworked front bumper,

- different looking foglamp enclosures,

- slightly modified head lamps,

- modified tail lamps,

- slightly different rear bumper,

- different rear hood styling, (speculating)

- different alloys, (maybe China-specific)

- subtle changes to the interiors (I expect better finish as well).


It's a given that the modified facelift will receive the 1.0L EcoBoost engine as well, and that might make Ford India to price it competitively enough to take on it's nearest C2 (maybe even C1) segment rivals.

Its more or less the same. Would be nice if this update is brought in here without any price rise. But considering the sales numbers, I wonder if Ford dares to make any investment for Fiesta.

For a minute I thought you caught the new Fiesta being tested in Chennai.
Only when I read through the post did I give the thread name a second look.

But yes, this was seen recently on the new Fiesta hatch showcased at European motor shows, updated with Ford's new Aston Martin-inspired styling.
The new wannbe-Aston face was first seen in the new Mondeo launched last year, I think. (Wasn't it the Koreans that used to copy European marques?)
Personally, I think Fiesta looks better the way it is now.

+1. That's exactly what I thought too. Was wondering what is the chinese watermark on it! Guess this need to be moved to international section.

The current styling especially the front end look fine to me, Ford India has more serious concerns to address to get the car moving off the showrooms. As an enthusiast what all do i expect-

1. A more VFM pricing with current weak engines.
2. Choice of better engines at current prices, Ecoboost for Petrol and a more punchier Diesel to complement the brilliant chassis, steering and suspension setup.
3. That DCT gearbox is awesome but please mate it to either the Ecoboost engine or a Diesel engine.

Spotted in Brazil. The rear definitely looks re-designed - elongated tail lamps and slightly protruding boot lip.

Ford should bring in the Fiesta in its hatchback form in India (Like how it is selling in elsewhere). The Fiesta ST looks simply amazing. If it is brought here with a powerful yet fuel efficient diesel engine and priced competitively, it can give the Swift, Polo and Punto a run for their money!

As far as the Sedan is concerned, a bit spruced up Fiesta classic will still sell in India.

uncanny resemblance to the Aston Martin! Call me old-fashioned, but I still prefer the looks of Fiesta Classic!

The current Fiesta looks like a fluidic (for lack of a better term) design gone wrong (no offense meant - my personal opinion).
