Bentley always do this, even for the previous continental flying spur

rl: That was a pathetic attempt by Bentley. Who were they trying to kid?

VW's Indian effort was more convincing (atleast, to the masses). Here is the Vento badged as a Ford (Thread Link)

I actually really like the shady S-class disguise :) anyhoo, I hope this one looks good with the new face. Because I haven't made my peace with the GT yet.

They put so much effort but overlooked the grille and alloys. :)

Autoexpress have reported the recent sighting of Bentley Continental Flying Spur, & the link to their report is as under:

The Bently owned by the Queen of England refused to start till the seventh attempt ! :Shockked:

Sure that a lot of Bently engineers would have lost their sleep for the past couple of days.

Just curious, but wouldn't the company they are imitating (in this case Mercedes) find it offensive?

Going by the recent trend, the 2013 Bentley Continental Flying Spur also shows up prematurely, just a day ahead of the "official" reveal.

I am disappointed to say the least.

Off Topic:: I recently blamed a friend who got the previous generation car cos the new one was just around the corner. Now though, I'm chuffed he didn't wait for this one.

Due to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2013, the Bentley Continental Flying Spur will be the companies mid-range luxury sedan. The design has been modified almost entirely from the previous generation. It features a completely different look. Whereas the outgoing Bentley Continental Flying Spur was a boxy car, the 2014 Bentley Continental Flying Spur features a sleek, dynamic and curvey new look.

The front facia retains the Bentley Continental GT’s instantly recognisable look with a grille set at a slightly higher angle. The silhouette sits lower, as do the door handles. Overall, the Bentley Continental Flying Spur Now Looks like a car designed to compete with the Rolls-Royce Ghost rather than a stretched Bentley Continental GT!

Expect power to remain the same as the current Bentley Continental GT and GTC models. This means the updated W12 engine with an output of 575hp, a 0-100km/h sprint of around five seconds and a top speed just short of 318km/h. We suspect that in the future, Bentley will offer a new model varient fitted with the companies V8 powerplant and an uprated Speed varient for extra performance!

Aargh!!! Why such a hideous rear :Frustrati
It was the "favourite" of all my dream cars. But now NO!
Thanks for sharing as always Scorcher!
Its true that "Looks are subjective" but come on, such an ugly rear wont be called beautiful by many I suppose.

One more day to go for the official launch and here are the latest leaked pictures of the Spur.

Just google and you can find more such pictures all around now, but as always, we see it first at TBHP :)

Edit: Mods, only after posting these pictures, saw that another thread was already available for the same. Kindly remove my post in this case.

I like its stance but the rear number plate looks a bit monstrous. It could have been a little smaller and moved a little further up the boot line IMHO

As you may imagine, I am mighty pleased :D I was a bit apprehensive after what was done to the GT coupe, which is not to my taste at all. But the new FS design is brilliantly executed, with a purposeful front bringing it close to the Mulsanne. Give me a few days to get used to the rear, and things will be sunny again! I am sure this one will look incredible in person.

The first new shape FS will reach our shores in 6 months' time :)

This shape takes a bit of beating...

And if you don't have the money, then you could buy everyone in the neighbourhood/village a Tata Nano and still have enough left for one of these

However, if you have lots of money you could always go for broke and purchase a real Bentley - which is to say, not a VW/Audi or Rolls-Royce derivative:
