While the RR always brings in an aura along with it, and even if the WRAITH does look like the ugly duckling in the RR stable, an RR was always appreciated for the way it rides.

The look is always a classic or tad bit here n there but never totally off what they stand for.

RR shows the door panel and the interior clock of the Wraith.

A quote from RR:

Rolls-Royce will bring this masterpiece to India in July for preview to select customers. They will be delivered to the customers in the later part of the year.

The first images of the "fastback" Roller are out, and I'd say, the good people over at Crewe have pulled it off pretty neatly! Apart from the familiar Ghost face which gets a few visual tweaks, which includes a revised and bigger air-dam, the profile fits into the Rolls-Royce scheme of things perfectly.

The interiors get the fancy starry illumination on the inside of the roof-line, which is pretty cool. Some grand Grand Tourer. Check it out.

The Wraith doesn't look as appealing as the current-gen Bentley Continental - Its direct competition...
The rear just doesn't go well with the rest of the car and feels like an after-thought.
The rear leg-room on the Wraith is just too much and looks like they just got carried away with the whole "fastback" concept... :( I hope RR manages to get the convertible version right.

I am sure there is no such thing as 'too much leg room', atleast the buyer won't be complaining about having too much room.
After all, it's meant to be a luxury car that offers the comfort of a suite, if I may.

I'd have to agree with you. The fastback looks like something that's been fitted on to the car rather than an integral piece of the design. The wheels are completely wrong, the overhands look like they've been designed with a ruler. There's absolutely no fluidity in the design of this thing. Aesthetically, it's actually pretty ugly.

The CGT is way better aesthetically. The credit mainly goes to the muscular rear end.

Even aggressive wheels could have saved the design to a certain extent.
But RR have been lazy in their design approach.

Whats wrong with todays designers? A Rolls Royce is supposed to look elegant and classy - be it a sedan, limo, convertibe - or a fastback / shooting brake. The Wraith does not look elegant at all and looks more like a modified Mustand fastback. The Continental GT looks far more better in comparision.

I think the rear takes up so much attention because the front is too blunt. I would have extended the bonnet by at least 6-9 inches! And I agree the wheels look quite ordinary, and small.

IMHO rear seats/rear leg-room in a 2+2 coupe (even if its a luxo-barge) is never really that much of a priority. If the buyer really wants legroom in the back of a coupe - She should consider the Ghost/Phantom

It seems like the design folks at RR probably worried more about the rear leg-room/roofline instead of a shorter wheel base and/or the need to even end the rear roofline a little before the end of the vehicle thus retaining a bit of the boot/tail section...

Grand Tourers should look phenomenal among other things... With these initial images of the Wraith, the more I see it... the uglier it gets!!
Now I really hope that they come up with a convertible version soon!!

It wont be surprising to see some RR loyalists switching over to the Bentleys - Bentley "1" / Rolls Royce "0"

An interesting article in Engadget about the transmission of Wraith. The transmission uses the GPS to gauge upcoming upshifts or downshifts; now that is some technology .
