Following the report that the new installment of the Fast and Furious series using a replica Ferrari Enzo FXX, the first movie from the gaming series Need For Speed has lined up a whole fleet of replicas, which includes hypercar royalties like the Bugatti Veyron SS, McLaren P1, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept, Koenigsegg Agera R and GTA Spano.

Though near perfect, the differences are quite apparent for a trained eye, like in the case of the P1 where the LED headlamps has been replaced with a projector setup, the rims and the Agera is not even close, everything looks cheap, the stance is off, it doesn't even have the signature doors.

The Aaron Paul starer is set to hit the cinemas in March next year, lets just hope that there are some genuine cars used in the movie as well.

Ironically, of all the cars, the camera crew's Cayenne Turbo and Mustang seems to be the fastest

Those replicas aren't all that bad. But I definitely hope atleast some of the real cars are used in the movie.

OT: I'm sure if they put some of these replicas on sale in India, they would fly off the shelves like hotcakes, because they definitely look a million times better than the replicas we see here

Here's a close-up of the front of the Bugatti Veyron SS Replica being used for the movie.

The gaps are terrible, the hood cover is a matte finish unlike the body, and those bulbs!

The whole thing looks awfully cheap to me

I think the replicas are quite decent in quality or rather imitation : ). Especially the P1 from the rear end, If I saw that on the road I could easily have been fooled.
Could you tell me who is directing this movie? I ask since I can make a call on if it will be a film of depth or unintelligent action rubbish like FnF series.

Like I said in my earlier post, the replicas are indeed good looking, and most people would easily be fooled.

The movie is being directed by Scott Waugh. I believe that the story line is built around the story from the NFS - Most Wanted game.

Update;

The NEED FOR SPEED movie sequel is confirmed

Even though the 1st movie did not gather much success compared to the F & F franchise, it was indeed a proper car / racing movie for sure & that's why it won many fans & car enthusiasts hearts.

Script, Actors, Directors etc are yet to be decided.
