Mod Note: Team-BHP's review of the GLA-Class has been taken live at this link. Please continue the discussion on the new thread. Thanks!

The GLA concept has been leaked ahead of the Shanghai Debut.

In my opinion, it looks great and at certain angles stunning. The interior looks superb. The side profile reminds me of Infiniti FX35 but its not a bad thing as FX35 is a looker and Nissan is partners with Mercedes.

One word... Wow !!
The next 5 years belong to Mercedes IMHO. BMW and Audi do not have the brilliant designs that these next generation Mercs have. The CLA, the GLA, the new C Class, ML Class are all segment leaders of the future.

Imposing and Gorgeous most often don't go together, but for the GLA Concept it does, the front is imposing with the 3 pointed star and side profile is gorgeous. Though some may disagree, its my personal opinion.
Hope the production edition is a closer one and not a toned down variant of this. For Mercedes to generate volumes and attract younger buyers the complete A model line-up: A-class, CLA, GLA has to be a success.

To beef up Merc sales and brand image, such improvements are necessary.
Merc is reiterating: "necessity is mother of innovation" (oh found typo? please excuse.)

So tru chevelle, the side profile looks like a heavily modded FX35 :D
The alloys are wow

The cars dimensions make me wonder if this will compete head on with the Q3?
As for the looks yes, This is the way forward. Very modern and good looking. The current crop of mercs looks are just rubbish save for a few.

The vehicle dimensions gives a feeling of compact SUV. In the last pic hardly any boot space is seen (for an SUV like this). Any idea about the dimension ?

Official Video for the GLA is out;

Is this the compact SUV that Mercedes was talking about that'll compete with the likes of X1 and the Q3?

If so, this concept is solid as concrete! Love the front face, the roof mounted LED's, fancy gunmetal alloys and those AC blowers.

Please Mercedes gives us this "exact" version!

Just like the RR Evoque, this one is going to sell for the looks alone, IF the production version retains most of the charm that this concept version have.

Loved the C shaped tail lamps.
Merc has finally realised they were losing to Audi & Bimmer due to their good designs. Now its the time for Merc to shine and outshine!

Yes, it will go up against Q3, BMW X1, Mini Countryman, Buick Encore. Compared to others, this one looks great and will easily give them run for money.

Looks great though. And alloys immediately reminded me of the factory alloys on the Nissan 370z. Here is the pic.

Ah! Thats a beauty! Very reminiscent in my mind of the Jeepster. Especially in the front three quarter and rear three quarter profile pics...
Lovely looker and very very buy-able someday, when the duty rates go downwards...

I think it looks stunningly beautiful! Brilliantly designed, it just looks great from every angle, and they have put a lot of effort into the details with this one.

Great going Mercedes, I think you have a winner if the production car looks just like this :thumbs up

After Shanghai debut of the GLA frankly i'm a bit disappointed looking at the test mule.
