Hyundai Mingtu Revealed - Accidentally

A new Hyundai sedan has been revealed on a banner ahead of its unveiling at the Shanghai auto show - called the Mingtu.

This segment of cars (between Civic/Elantra and Accord/Sonata) seems to be rather hot in China. They want a lengthened 3 series but won't buy the 5 series etc. Every market is unique, and these are some of the quirks of the Chinese market which ever auto brand in the world cannot ignore.

Perhaps this can land in India. Elantra already is great VFM for what it offers in comparison to other cars in the segment. If this is going to be 20% more expensive and is equipped Hyundai style - it has a lot of potential.

Also, this size of car is more sellable in Europe too - where the Accord and Sonata are just too big to be called midsizers (like in the states).
