The exteriors look amazing! It looks a bit smaller than it looks in the photos though, but that's not a bad thing.
Those interiors on the other hand, I'm sure they could have done a better job in that department if they wanted. They look rather dull and boring!
Jaguar has finally unveiled the F-Pace. Based on the C-X17, the F-Pace's exterior design is a very similar derivation of the concept. The F-Pace is offered as a 5-seater and the car measures 4,731 mm in length with a 2,874 mm wheelbase. 80% of the body structure has been made from aluminium to make the F-Pace light and the 178 BHP rear-wheel drive diesel F-Pace tips the scales at 1,665 kgs. Additional weight savings come from the composite tailgate and magnesium for parts such as the cross-car beam.
The powertrain range will consist of:
- A 2.0-litre, 178 BHP, diesel manual RWD / AWD and an automatic AWD.
- A 2.0-litre, 238 BHP, petrol automatic RWD.
- A 3.0-litre, 296 BHP, diesel automatic AWD.
- A 3.0-litre petrol automatic AWD that makes either 335 BHP or 375 BHP.
The 375 BHP variant sources its engine from the F-Type and Jaguar claims it can manage the 0-100 km/h run in around 5.1 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

The company's first crossover SUV, the car looks like a cross between a luxury SUV and a normal car. Grant drove the car into a 63-foot-tall loop all for Jaguar's 80th anniversary, enduring 6.5G force — more than what space shuttle pilots face during launches — on the way through.
In the olden days, Whenever I see a posting new SUV I used to think in lines of GMC Denali - ML350 - Toyota Fortuner.
Nowadays - There are so many wannabe SUVs that whenever I see a new SUV to be launched post, I am visualizing the same on the lines of BMW X1 , Skoda Octavia Combi - Audi A4 wagon etc. :Frustrati
Where are the real true blue SUVs on the full size.
Pricing;
The US pricing for the F-Pace is revealed & it starts from a mere U$ 40,990 = INR 27L ONLY
And as soon as this comes to India we all will be :Frustrati:deadhorse
I got a message from my share broker that F-Pace receives 25000 bookings. I assume this is world wide.

If I remember correctly the Range Rover Evoque comes in at 40-44,000US$ 'MSRP' so the pricing for the F-Pace seems correct as this vehicle will compete head on with the Evoque.
Were you expecting it to cost a lot less for some reason? or am I misinformed and this doesn't compete with the Evoque and is a segment down?

Nope, i was expecting it to be pricier.
Also the main competition was the Porsche Macan, but it actually ends up competing with Audi Q5, BMW X3 etc too :thumbs up
The Jaguar F-Pace has quite literally become the chick magnet among the Jaguar range with women constituting one in every 3 advance orders. With a total of 25,000 bookings world-wide the F-Pace will be one of the most successful models of all time and Jaguar is laughing all the way to the bank.
With the dynamics of Maacan and the space of almost a Cayenne the company has a well rounded product in its hands. The crossover ranges in price from £34,170 (32Lakhs) to £65,275 (61Lakhs) for the high spec model.

Features said to be female-friendly include a powered tailgate that opens automatically when you wave your foot under the bumper – handy if you are carrying shopping or a baby, automated self-parking which guides the car into a tight spot, plus a ‘birds- eye’ 360-degree view of surroundings from on-board cameras and specially selected fabric and colours, including a fashionable hounds-tooth trim.
It also includes a high driving position for a clear view of the road ahead and plenty of storage and cubby holes for those essential nick-nacks. Yet it still promises blistering performance with acceleration from rest to 60mph in a fraction over five seconds and a top speed limited at 155mph. |

Although I did not like it much at the start, the looks have grown on me. As far as pseudo luxury Suv's go this thing is a looker. It makes the Q5 and the GLC look pretty pedestrian. It's a close call between the Porsche Macan and this but if I had the monies I will buy the 375 bhp supercharged petrol in a heartbeat.
One more from Overdrive India. Beautiful Review I must say.

This car seems to promise a lot. I just hope Jaguar prices it well unlike Porsche that went bonkers with Macan's pricing. Any idea whether this will be assembled in India?
