What do we think? What is your favorite Car logo and why?

I must admit, I've always like the Alfa Romeo logo, changed a bit over the years, but still very distinguished, meaningfull and lots of colors

Nice thread. I personally like Lamborghini's. It symbolizes what Lambos are. Untamed, hard-core and rich.
Mercedes-Benz comes a close second. No reason as such, but always had a liking for the three pointed star ever since I could recognize cars.
My top 5 would be:-

Lamborghini
Mercedes Benz
Ferrari
BMW
Porsche/VW

I personally dislike the Peugeot and Toyota logos. The former seems to garish while latter- a bit too big.
P.S - All the above are my thoughts, and not to offend any others or models/logos

Where is Bentley, Jag or Aston? Doesn't look like a good sample.

I love the Ferrari logo. The way it looks, and the story behind it. But now, its just everywhere and have lost its mojo. A logo doesn't look as majestic on a perfume bottle does it?

PS: A pie chart is such a wrong tool to depict these kind of results.

I like the Jaguar logo for its aggressiveness and the Rolls Royce for its royalty touch.

On the other hand I have always admired the Blue oval of Ford.

For me it'll always be the Prancing Horse of Ferrari.

Quite popular in India , we see so many vehicles with various forms of Ferrari logo and graffiti.

Could not agree more to anything else. Nothing flashy, just timeless & elegant: The three pointed star!

For me 1st comes the "Flying B" - Bentley. 2nd - Jaguar and 3rd - Aston Martin.

Infact! I like Maserati too! Just looks so powerful (resembles a crown). Merc's comes a close second, and BMW's comes third.

Are they not among the top selling brands in any country? A glaring omission to say the least.

Or could it be that only the top so many have been shown on the pie chart?

Remember, this is about the logo, not the brand itself, i love my Jaguar and My Mercedes but i am not so impressed by their respective logo's. Mercedes is ok i guess.

Speaking of logos, some of you may know this already - the Bentley logo with the wings on either side is actually unsymmetrical. If you look at it closely, the wing on the left has 10 feathers and the right one has 11! It looks very symmetrical though. Clever on the part of the designer!

And the BMW logo taking after the rotating propeller is a myth! The Blue and White colors are from the flag of Bavaria and the logo evolved from its original company. I guess most of us might have come across this one at least a few times.

I love Volvo's logo! Symbolises the male gender/Mars but I am sure the company didn't meant that.
