Lamborghini revives its vehicle restoration centre

Lamborghini is re-launching its restoration centre under the name of Lamborghini Polo Storico. The new department includes the brand’s historical archives (Archivio Storico Lamborghini), the vehicle restoration centre, a vehicle certification service, and the Italian supercar maker guarantees the availability of genuine spare parts for all historical Lamborghini models.

A major part of the centre is the history archive section which includes the documentation of historical Lamborghini car models, along with technical schemes, body colors, leathers, images and several publications made by the company.

Classic car owners can avail of a restoration service and have their cars fit with original spare parts. The parts either come from the brand’s stockpile or are produced by certified suppliers. Lamborghini adds that the methods and processes of restoration will be as close to the original as possible as well. Lamborghini Polo Storico also offers a certification service, wherein customers can have the components of their classic cars checked by a technical committee for originality. The committee then issues a certificate of authenticity if the car complies with the requisite criteria. The move comes in to better support classic car collectors located around the world.

Re: Lamborghini revives its vehicle restoration centre

Any car that sounds as good as this deserves to be on the roads forever. V12s are a dying breed in today's era of 'downsizing'. Factory-backed restoration centres will ensure more of these beasts live on.

Pure, simple, mechanical, unadulterated fun!
