Bentley has taken the covers off its updated Mulsanne range, at the Geneva Motor Show. The company has introduced a performance focused Mulsanne Speed and the all-new Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase.



The 2016 Mulsanne gets some styling updates in the form of new headlamps, a new grille with vertical slats, new front bumper layout and new tail lights.

The Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase is 250 mm longer, translating into better legroom for the rear passengers. In addition, it is equipped with airline-style seats, which recline and have adjustable leg rests and a sunroof for the rear seat passengers.




Powering this hand-built luxury car is the same 6.75-litre, turbocharged V8 petrol engine, which makes 505 BHP and 1,020 Nm of torque as the outgoing model. Power is transmitted via an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox.

The Mulsanne Speed packs an extra punch. It is powered by the same engine as that of the Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase, but it produces 530 BHP and 1,100 Nm of torque. This car will go from 0 to 100 kph in a claimed 4.8 seconds (0.3 seconds faster than the EW) and has a top speed of 306 kph.



For those who wish to ferry four passengers at the back, Bentley unveiled the Mulsanne Grand Limousine, coach-built by Mulliner. It is 79 mm taller than the normal model and its wheelbase is stretched by 1 metre. It gets a private-aviation-inspired rear cabin with face-to-face seating.
