| First of its kind: The 612 Scaligetti
There are cars that have left an everlasting impact on my mind at first sight and there are cars that I have hated to start with but have grown on me later. When it comes to Ferrari, I can't recall even one of the later type.
Last year they replaced their popular 456 with the 612 Scaglietti. One glance and I discarded it as a nerdy design. Those traditional pop-ups were gone and in came 2 almond shaped clusters that gave the car a bug-like appearance. However, after looking at that car for the few months that it has existed, I've actually started to like it. I've started liking it to an extent that it's almost rivalling my 2nd favourite Ferrari of all time, the 512i Berlinetta Boxer.
The 612's engine, technology and performance are obviously no problem and the interiors are beautiful too. So the only thing that's remaining is that ever important exhaust note. Hope I get to hear it soon! |
