BMW testing the M7?

BMW seems to be testing a new prototype of its 7 series & could possibly be an early test mule of the M7.

The car seems to have quad exhaust tips, 19-inch wheels, cross drilled brakes & spies have spotted this vehicle testing together with an M5 and two X6 Ms, so clearly this is something with a lot of punch

Lets wait & watch

re: BMW testing the M7?

Hmm so would this sell along with the Alpina B7? For many years the Alpina B7 was the M equivalent 7 series for enthusiasts.

Here is an article on the 2017 Alpina B7

Given that the M5 already is a power monster, what would they outfit this with? Twin turbo v12? Phew.

Re: BMW testing the M7?

This would be the first M7, right? Awesome. There is certainly a market for high-performance luxury barges, as the AMG S-Class has proven. Considering BMW offers an M version of nearly every other car it builds, I'm surprised an M7 has taken so long!

Same equation with the B5 & M5 . While BMW does work with Alpina, M is after all an in-house division. I think Alpinas are more like AMGs - lots of horsepower, but also heavier. The equivalent Ms are usually more agile.
