Volkswagen releases teaser images of its New large SUV that will appear at Beijing Motor Show this month( end April), with 375bhp plug-in powertrain.

-Volkswagen's special concept car to be shown at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show

- The large SUV concept that could possibly preview the forthcoming 7-seat Tiguan XL model

-The powertrain will use an electric motor with a combustion engine, providing 375bhp and 700Nm of torque

-As a plug-in hybrid, the concept has an all-electric range of 31 miles as well.

- Fuel consumption of less than 94mpg

-Acceleration figures of 0-62mph in 6 seconds and on to a top speed of around 140mph.






More details of this SUV will unfold on April 25 when the Beijing Motor Show will open its doors for the press.

VW unveils its newest SUV - VW T-Prime, the bigger, better new Touareg.

Volkswagen is previewing the next generation of its Touareg flagship SUV with its Beijing Motor Show concept, a plug-in hybrid crossover called T-Prime.

The T-Prime shows how VW expects the Tiguan’s bigger brother to look when it arrives in 2018.

The show car features just two seats in the rear, but it’s likely that the production model will offer a three-seat bench, and the option of a further two seats that pop up from the boot floor.

A combined total of 375bhp and 700Nm is available, but the T-Prime can also manage up to 31 miles in pure electric mode. VW claims combined CO2 emissions of 63g/km.
