It looks good. And see the goodies that they give inside. When will India get these bells-and-whistles ?

From the comments posted at the bottom, looks like most people love it and would love to have Suzuki work hard on selling it in the US. Swift seems to have a big following out there.

Looks good from the outside. yet somehow the closeup of the interior reminds me of cheap plastic....

Wasnt the Swift Sport already available in Japan?

I actually think the 5 door looks better than the 3 door version. i think the 5 door version is more proportionate

That looks like a SWEET Ride, must be very quick too, I reckon it wont come out here, even if it does it will only be the looks department, engine I don't think will happen here .

The car looks good and impressive. The engine should be a gem but I doubt it will come with a justified price. With the 1.3 ZXi going for almost 6 lakhs on road Mumbai, this will certainly cross or touch the 7 lakh barrier which IMO will be too much for a car this size

Have to agree with Khanak. The 5-door version looks much more appropriate. Well, to get the best of both worlds, they should do to this thing's back doors what the respective designers did to the RX-7!

Godspeed,

Alok

I beg to differ. The much-less sporty (and slow) Optra SRV is priced at a whopping 8.5L. All show and no go. Yet, it sells in limited numbers. Even if MUL brings in a detuned 1.6 around 115 bhp, priced at 7L, it'll still sell. Like hot cakes. Mainly because the car is actually sporty. The Swift sport claims 0-100 in about 8 secs. Beats the twice as expensive Skoda vRS. And a top whack of 200 kays+. This car could actually arouse more interest than the Palio 1.6 did.

But, in all probability, MUL will plonk a detuned version of this M16A engine in the upcoming new Baleno (Sedan version of the highly-acclaimed SX-4).

Sigh. Europeans/Americans have all the fun. They already have the Civic Type R, and now this...someday, just maybe..

Lovely stuff! I guess the 4 door one would come to India.
Iam sure, there will be lot of takers for Swift Sport considering the acceptance of the current swift in the indian market.
