The all-new, tenth generation of the Honda Accord has been spotted on it's maiden testing run in the USA under heavy camouflage.

Despite giving very little away from under all the masking, the new-gen Accord seems to have a more upright front than the current-gen Accord, with a more straight face including the front grille, headlight sections and the front bumper. It also looks to be sitting slightly lower than the current-gen Accord sold worldwide.

The 10th-gen Accord is expected sometime in 2018, with an unveiling scheduled for late 2017. Powertrain options and features are yet to be disclosed.

So we are getting the 9th generation in India next year, while the all new 10th generation is planned for an unveil by late next year?

Considering the rumoured 37-40L ex showroom price of the Accord, I think Honda should wait and launch the brand new model by next year end.

Honda would be silly to bring in the 9th generation Accord to India next year ! We should get the 10th Generation car
The new one looks very promising in the images and buyers in the 35-45L price bracket are very conscious! I don't think many will buy the 9th generation when they learn about the 10th generation being launched abroad ! Even the Germans can't get away with selling previous generation cars in India !!

The 10th gen is scheduled for a launch 'sometime' in 2018. It could be early, mid or even late 2018. Honda's decision to launch the current gen seems pretty okay to me.
Also, the Accord will be a CBU. So once the next gen car is launched, it will come to India soon after its international launch.

Wow, the Accord is growing bigger & bigger! The 10th-gen looks like an XL-sized sedan. Seems to have a fastback-styled rear. Honda took a lot of beating due to the 9th-gen's styling, so this one better be impressive.

I hope the formula has something more than just the big cabin + reliability + regular petrol engines. The new Superb is so competent that Honda is going to have to work harder. An improvement in premium'ness, cabin quality, features, handling and technology (turbo-engines, faster ATs, well-priced hybrids etc.) are the need of the hour. The last Accord sold in India was way too bland (except for that delicious V6 ).

I agree with Crazy Driver. No point launching the 9th-gen which has only 2 years of life left. Better to get the 10th gen in. Bringing in the 'latest' will also boost the Accord's image which has suffered because of its absence. No one really remembers the Accord today.

Honda has released a teaser image of the 10th-generation Accord, which is expected to be globally unveiled later this year. The revealed image showcases a heavily camouflaged mule of the sedan and doesn't quite reveal the updated model's design details.

Honda teases the 2018 Accord with a sketch ahead of July 14 debut in Detroit,

Earlier this month, the company announced that the new Accord will be offered with three powerful and fuel-efficient powertrains, two of those being turbocharged with direct injection and paired with either Honda’s newly-developed 10-speed automatic transmission, a CVT or a six-speed manual. The new Accord will also come with the next-gen two-motor hybrid technology.

I highly doubt that. That's the Civic's front end pasted to the new 5-series' body.

Looks Funny. Like a mix between BMW GT and the Civic. Even the interior seems less luxurious than the current Hybrid one. Lets hope the reality is better than the pictures.
