The VAG group is on a spree on C/SUV launches. We have the Skoda Kodiaq at the high end and at the lower end have seen the plans for the VW Polo SUV.

To complement the same now the Skoda will bring out the entry level C/SUV based on Fabia. Expected to launch in 2018.

Skoda's SUV line will look like this - So, along with a Yeti replacement (2018) and Kodaiq (early 2017), it’s plotting a third member of the SUV family to sit below the Yeti - The Fabia SUV!

Cool!! I had decided the replacement for my Fabia will not be a Skoda, but now this render makes me rethink. This comes close to my other favorite, looks wise - the Q3, and coming from Skoda, you can't call it a cheap imitation. No matter what they say, the drive feel of a Skoda is unmatched. The only problem with the current Fabia is its GC and dull engine. I hope the 'Polar' addresses both.

Seat's Arona, VW's T Cross and now Skoda's Polar. All are the entry level compact crossovers from VAG.

Autobild renders the Compact based on Skoda Fabia.

Fabia SUV / Polar among others will get the 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine (the most powerful version will have 115 hp) and 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 150 hp (this will biri and strongest engine in the range) and TDI diesel engines.

As things stand now, the 4x4 will be offered

Launch in late 2018/19.
