The Airport Cabs in Brussels are mostly Merc E, C Class or VW Passat. These care have yellow board on the grill which says, "Zaventem"

See a lot of Citroen Xsara Picassos in the City. Other cars would be Toyota Corolla/Avensis, Skoda Octavia, VW Jetta.

ALL DIESEL. These people love diesels!

All new cabs in NYC are hybrids.
I have seen following cars as yellow cabs in NYC - All Hybrid
1. Toyota Prius
2. Ford Escape
3. Nissan Altima
4. Toyota Sienna van
5. Toyota Camry
6. Chevy Malibu

Earlier, all yellow cabs used to Ford Crown Victorias

Almost every other limousine for hire is Lincoln Towncar

All the old Toyota crown's are being replaced by Hyundai Sonata's or Kia optimas. Both are the same. These cars come with 2L CRDi engines and H-matic transmission.

Here's a small list of taxi's in amsterdam,

Chrysler 300C, Audi A6, BMW 5, merc E and any car in that segment.

In taiwan mostly the cabs are Nissan Cefiro/Teana, Toyota camry, toyota corolla, honda civic.

The best was when I got a Civic Type R cabbie with 18" alloys, full body kit and neons.

Toyota Sienna is not available as a Hybrid. Malibu is just a mild hybrid with stop-start alternator.
New York Mayor wants a 100% Hybrid fleet.

Ah i can remember the night outside Leidseplein choosing what taxi to back home in after missing the last tram back home.

@Vid what was that minivan (six seaters) that would ocme once in a while. Those were pretty common as well for taking home bigger gangs of friends.

I would like to add that you can get an S class as a call taxi if you opt for its higher price.

Man their rates are indeed very insane n no metres. You have 2 bargain for wherever you have to go.
