Ford introduces EksoVests for assembly plant workers

India is not on the list yet, hopefully soon.

The vest or suit assists an engineer working under the car during assembly. They offer lift assistance for loads between 2.3-6.8 kilo.

....and incentivize the human body to become further weak. :(
-Rant over

These types of injuries are indeed caused by the repetitive nature of tasks, which only involve a limited set of muscle groups and joints, over a repetitive direction & range of motion, in quick succession. This is where, such 'assistive' technologies do help.
This can be avoided to an extent, if people are rotated frequently to other jobs, during the day, but then that is 'inefficient' and introduces 'errors'.
Moreover, most people nowadays, can hardly be induced to exercise holistically, than maybe a modest jog!
As a race we are becoming weaker, and that isn't good.
