Re: On Elon Musk's tweet and stress levels

Does Elon Musk care about the impact of his tweets?

I didn't love his answer, but I loved the fact that he quotes a scene from Princess Bride.

I saw the interview on CNBC. If a guy with so many skills and money has to speak what others love to hear, what's the use of all that? It's we commoners who have to think twice. I love his answer, though he took little time

Am thinking about that new CEO lady, hope Musk has answered this question in private to her before

He has fiduciary responsibility towards his companies, doesn't he? How does that reconcile with his tweets? That's the part bothering me.

Big part of his own, his companies and stakeholders success is due to his eccentricity. If he leaves that, I guess he will leave his shell and will gradually become a commonplace billionaire.

His money, his outlook. If someone doesn’t like, buy his companies and save. If anyone doesn’t want to work for him, worrying about what might happen to his companies, they are free to look elsewhere I guess

Why should you, me and everyone one else need to worry?

A CEO comes as a package of good/bad/etc attributes (like most things in life). Any impact on the company due to normal good faith behavior (i.e. not malicious or fraud) is fair game. Recall the Google demos which crashed their stock. You just take the good and the bad.

Of course in the case of Elon Musk, he is at times stretching the boundary of "normal good faith behavior"

Elon Musk’s X, accused of withholding bonuses promised to staff, will have to face a court battle.
