2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 leaked

In March 2018, Ford had released a teaser image of the Shelby GT500. Now, an undisguised image of the car has been leaked online.

The image shows the car being showcased on the stage in blue and white. It is reported that the American company is conducting a national dealer meeting in Las Vegas, where the car could have been showcased.

The Mustang Shelby GT500 gets a snake logo in the centre of the grille, larger air inlets, slim fog lights and the low air dam that resemble the earlier teaser image. The display behind the car has a large cobra logo as well. The car also gets a black air splitter at the front, multi spoke alloy wheels and a large rear wing.

Ford has not yet released the exact engine details of the GT500. The car is scheduled to go into production in 2019.

Amazing looking car - I love muscle cars . And the stats on this are mind-boggling. 700+ horses and 0 - 100 in 3.2 - 3.4 seconds (as per online claims) . The gap to Supercars keeps diminishing.

Pedigree, aura and histroy notwithstanding, this one has now started looking unpleasing with that huge Audi looking gaping hole.
To many cuts and crevices for my liking. The good old days of straight line designs and a drag co efficient of a bread box is what I like.
Anyhow, the performance is getting mighty impressive on these though.

All-New 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Climbs The Hill At Goodwood

Quote:
The 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 is equipped with a 5.2-liter, supercharged V8 that produces 771 PS (760 hp / 567 kW) and 847 Nm (625 lb-ft) of torque, but despite the power deficit, needs a Redeye-matching 3.5 seconds for the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration. The quarter-mile run is estimated to take less than 11 seconds – again, roughly the same as its direct competitor from FCA, which can do it in 10.8 seconds, at 211 km/h (131 mph).

Re: 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 leaked

How is it different in PS and HP? 771 vs 760 ?!?

PS = HP. Pferdestarke = Horsepower.

No they are not the same. PS is an European or more specific German (DIN) attempt to make HP metric. 1PS = 0,986HP

I am not quite sure why they came up with it, because we already have an (metric) SI standard for power: watt
