What is a Chevy Cuda?

A guy on orkut said that his favourite american muscle car was a chevy cuda '71.
Initially I thought he meant the 1971 Plymouth Hemi-Cuda. But then when I 'google'd for Chevy-Cuda 71, i found this site:

I've never heard of it.

Can anyone, please, shed some light on the subject.

It's short for the Chevrolet Barracuda or chevy cuda.

He probably was talking bout 1971 Plymouth Barracuda

Its probably the Hemi 'cuda. WHich would be the Plymouth Barracuda equipped with the 426 cu.in. "Hemi" (for its hemispherical head) engine. As it was a performance model, it was often marketed as the Hemi 'Cuda, and the name stuck.
