11 untouched BMW E34s found in an old Bulgarian factory As the title says, 11 untouched 1994 5 Series cars have been found in a warehouse in Bulgaria. They are in mostly pristine condition and still have plastic wrapped interiors! The existing owner/dealer got them from a bankrupted Spanish dealer to resell. However, VAT was introduced in Bulgaria in 1995. This combined with some other governmental changes made it difficult for him to sell them. The plan is to auction these cars (expected price of 15k EUR/car). Source
This model is such a legend, especially the M5. From Wikipedia: "The E34 generation included the first all-wheel drive 5 Series with the 525iX, and the first V8 in a 5 Series. The E34 also saw the introduction of stability control (ASC), traction control (ASC+T) a 6-speed manual transmission and adjustable damping (EDC) to the 5 Series range." Such pristine, vintage finds are so rare. My guess is they are going to have people falling over themselves bidding for these beauties and the expected price is going to be easily exceeded.
