2008 Honda Accord Coupe preview

Honda Concept Strikes AccordÂ*Detroit Auto Show 2007 - MSN Autos
The coupe looks awesome. There is a striking similarity with the Beemer 6 series couple. I would definitely prefer this over the current Toyota Solara.

Front looks great but i didn't like the rear design. Hope they make the required changes before they put this into production.

And whats with the quad exhaust? How can a V6 engine have 4 outlets? Wonder what the exhaust system will be like. I guess it'l prob be a 6-2 system with 2 exhaust outlets for each of the 2 pipes (like the OHC Vtec's dual exhaust).

Why restrict the design to the coupe? This has to be carried on to the sedan also (or vice versa). The current gen accord is anyways due for a model replacement.

The front end looks fabulous and.......german?

Note that it says What the Accord "MAY" look like. I guess the final production model might be different from what is shown in the photo

If you ask me, it bears resemblance to the Jaguar C-XF concept, which in turn seems to be a copy of a Volvo.
Even then, very good looking car.

I dont see anything wrong with the rear in general.
But going along with the Accord's image, its a radical thing.
But somewhere in my mind says, this isnt an original idea. Looks like the rear is inspired from cadillac cars.

I quite like it looks much more sporty, chiselled & purposeful than the current bloated Coupe design. Now if Honda would introduce this here along with the V6 & 6-speed manual *sigh*

Honda America has said that this concept shows the styling direction of the upcoming eigth generation Accord.

I like it.

Though I'd lose the silly oversized Honda logo on the bum & put in either a smaller one or nothing at all.

Looks insane from the front 3/4. A bit like the Mitsubishi Evo X concept.

Would the new accord sedan end up like the new Modeo[which itself is quite volvo inspired].Agree with Elf bits of the evo in there too,here's the evo.
