Nice - I did'nt know these came as an option on Bimmers. I have driven the new Lexus LS with the same auto parallel parking feature. It is really nifty with the camera and sensors and it feels very surreal to see the wheel spin without you touching it. But honestly - its rather gimicky at the end of the day and gets old quick. Give me a Hummer and let me use my skills to put it in a spot meant for a Cooper!

Nice feature but...
1. Wondering can the device take out the car from the parked place too.
2. If I have the option to park on both side of the road, who decides which side to park?.

Much obliged if any links are known to have porn/semiporn advert/content. It almost became embarassing opening that link in my office today

thanks to theMAG for the warning!!!

as for the BMW auto-parking system...
we guys in Mumbai have to wait until it evolves into a "search-an-empty-parking-slot-and-auto-park-system"

probably the higher versions can have features like parking a large sedan in a Maruti 800 sized slot

we wouldnt think of it worthy otherwise.

chanapli's questions are valid too. let's post this to a Bimmer forum. some user may reply.
