It is said in the international market that the Japanese pickup will have a more powerful version of the diesel engine GD 2.8, which can thus reach or exceed the mark of 200 horses, where rivals such as Ford Ranger and Chevrolet S10.

In addition, as "confidential" by Spanish driver Fernando Alonso, the Hilux 2021 will also have changes in suspension in order to make the pickup more agile on and off the road.

Inside, multimedia with Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be present in the 2021 model, which debuts in Thailand, but soon more will also be in the domestic market.

Re: Toyota Hilux facelift leaked

Any idea whether the Toyota pick ups still have box frame chassis or have they gone back to C channel to save costs? In fact not just the Hilux, any modern pick up for that matter.

The answers here. Due to rusting issues and the eventual settlements paid, Toyota has gone back to C channel, while the others (Americans) have gone the boxed route, after facing heat for poor durability in their C channel chassis.

Right, though the photos I could find online show that vehicles like the Hilux and Tacoma still have box frames, also check out the following excerpt from Tacoma brochure, though it says box frame only for front sub frame. Also, customers who want heavy payload capacity as opposed to towing capacity even go for after market frame bracing or even custom box frames for additional strength.

Re: Toyota Hilux facelift leaked

Hello everyone, this is my first post on Team-BHP.

Well, last Sunday I headed to the Azad Hind Dhaba on Durgapur Expressway (National Highway-2) to satisfy my caffeine cravings, and surprisingly came across a vehicle transporter which was carrying 4 of these Toyota Hiluxes totally un-camouflaged! These vehicles were mounted at a significant height on the transporter, so missed out on the interiors photos. Please take a look at the pictures:

From your location I guess these are headed to our neighbours. Either Nepal or Bhutan.

Wonder if there is any concrete confirmation from TKM regarding Hilux launch in India, apart from ACI rumours.

Re: Toyota Hilux facelift leaked

Checked out the new Hilux Adventure here at the Dubai showroom.

This is the probably the first time that the Hilux has been offered here with the 4.0 1GR-FE engine which produces 235 BHP (Also found on the Fortuner). Ofcourse, the same engine is also used across the range including the LC200 and Prado, but with a higher output of 271 BHP.

Notably, this is also the first and only variant of the Hilux which can be owned by people in the UAE without having a commercial establishment. The price on ask is AED 143,000, or Rs 28.57 lakh.

I believe the Hilux V6 was already in sale in the GCC for long. Atleast in the Saudi market. Could have been a grey import too.

But atleast in Qatar it was there since 2017. Not just on road, seen one in the official Toyota showroom.
Raised, with a sporty roll bar and in pearl white/loud colours, it was priced at par with the Fortuner, even more I believe.
The V6 also did job in the Fortuner.
