Politicos, gangsters, filmstars, businesspeople from India, rejoice. A new Lexus LX is going to be introduced soon, with an even bigger, meaner V8. The 5.7L V8 must be the same one used in the new Tundra, which means more than 380 horses.
Me thinks we can expect interior (which is fabulous already) and chassis upgrades too.

Actually they'll be even more happier at the prospect of getting the Toyota version of the LX & then badging it as a Lexus!!!

It's to debut on the 5th of april and that it may make it to the us markets in 2008[as the 2009 model] while the other markets may get it slightly earlier is all that is known so far.

Some talks about the engine to be tuned to about 400bhp,while some say it would be kept around around 350bhp.

Used to be really popular amoing Indian celebs few years ago due to lack of choice. Now with the arrival of Cayennes, Q7s, RRs etc a Landcrusier dosent command that much respect. The launch of the cheaper Prado with the same name further dilutes the brand equity.
