New Honda jazz -similar NHC ??

Though this is a very old article, with talks of an all new NHC coming up next year thought I should bring it up,

An image from an automag as to how the new fit to be launched in Mid 2007 would look like.Would the honda designers use the same styling cues for the all new honda city dont know.

The NHC is anyways a Jazz with the boot. I think we can except a design similar to the above but in three box form

Rahul is trying to say that the next NHC will be based on the car in the first post.

It looks great! And a far step ahead of the quirky current NHC.

the jazz would be ideal to kil the compact car segment and far better looking than the nhc although it does have the same front end

Why do I get a feeling that the side profile of this new jazz is very similar to that of the Fiat Grande Punto? Even the colour is the same grande punto blue. The front ,especially the headlamps are a direct lift from the new CRV.
This is going to be a big hit when launched in India.Porobably would even overshadow the punto and fabia hatch backs.
Even the sedan version of this car or the ' new NHC' should look good and much better than the space ship we see zooming on our city roads

Dippy, the car in the pic will look equally ugly with a boot as the current City. Notice how this car is designed(lines) to be a 2-box. Only Ford has struck a cordant note with its booted old-Fiesta = Ikon thus far.

Imo, the Ikon's rear was a bit too sharp in comparison to its face, but a good job nonetheless
Even Fiat has done the job well with the 2-box grande punto and the outcome,ie the Linea looks striking. So I guess subtle changes to the front end of the JAZZ hatch should help in giving reasonably good proportions to the sedan version.
There are two hatchbacks which could genuinely look ugly in their sedan forms- swift and the new fabia hatch

I don't think the next gen NHC will look like this. Even if you take the present scene, though both cars are based on each other, they aren't identical. The lights on them are diff, the hood on the Jazz is smaller and the windows are bigger.

Yes, surprising similar in profile to the Punto. Even if it were to look anything like that....man, the grille is supremely ugly. The grille on the new CRV looks like a weak smile with no front teeth!! Is this the new Honda corporate grille?!

The first artist's impression was wrong[fortunately cause I personally don't like the new CRV look]

Now this is a scoop meaning a spy scan of a brochure,

Firstly the honda jazz[I stick my neck out and include the new platform city as well] will have civic like interiors,as far as the exteriors go I don't find a radical difference so will not comment on that.
The major change is the vtec is going to be replaced by i-vtec,but now they have a 1.3L option as well which is supposed to be as frugal as the i-dsi engines and if cost is not a major concern then the i-dsi's may be on the way out.

posting one pic from paultan.org the rest are here:

PS: Just to avoid confusion, the city I am talking about here is the one expected next year or early 2009,and not the facelifted model planned to be launched this diwali.
