Pay a subscription fee for using ventilated seats or cruise control?!

Don't think it will work in favor of manufacturer. There are already OBD reader and Apps such as Carly which are used to activate features possible to activate with just software flags enabled/disabled.

They can stop cars in warranty from playing with software, but do not think it will be legally possible to stop 3rd party software.
