Cadillac CT4-V, CT5-V Blackwing In what could be seen as Cadillac's last ICE swan song before going full EV in the near future.
Ticking all the boxes , Cadillac has unveiled the CT4-V and CT5-V in Blackwing editions.
The CT4-V will get a 3.6l twin-turbo charged V6 making 472 bhp and a 0-100 timing of 3.8secs.
The CT5-V will get a supercharged 6.2l V8 making 668 bhp and a 0-100 timing of 3.7secs.
Both will get an option of 6 speed manual transmissions or a 10 speed automatic.
The manual transmission comes with a twin-disc clutch, rev matching and no-lift shifting. The no-lift shifting sounds interesting. You don't have to lift off the accelerator while shifting gears. Don't know if other production cars had it earlier.
Both send power to the rear wheels and have electronically controlled LSDs. https://www.autoblog.com/2021/02/01/...#slide-2292940
Though wishing them to be a success, going by history (the Chevy SS and older V versions) this could be another sales dud.
