Hyundai's Staria has design flaws ( 9-seater and 11-seater )- Second row window shatters, shipments stop.

The second row windows of Hyundai Motor Company's Starria were cracked. Hyundai Motor Company stopped the shipment of Starria and began to take measures and compensate. As a result of checking the Hyundai Motor Company service center, from the 1st of next month, the panoramic window will be replaced with an improved product.

At the side of Staria, the belt line was lowered and a panoramic window was applied to increase the visibility from the interior. It was confirmed that among the Starria 9-seater and 11-seater Tourer models, if the second row windows are opened at an angle and the second row doors are closed, the panoramic window cannot withstand the impact and is damaged.

This does not apply to models that choose two-row flush glass. However, all three columns of Staria have a panoramic window, so Starria's shipments are temporarily suspended.
