Renault reveals new product strategy; aims to become Europe's greenest brand by 2030

Renault has announced its new 'Nouvella Vague' strategy, which will allow the brand to focus on electrification and sustainable mobility. Alongside the new strategy, the French carmaker has also unveiled its new brand logo, which will make its debut on the Megane-E in 2022.

As part of the new strategy, Renault is aiming to become Europe's greenest car brand with 9 out of 10 cars being electrified by 2030. The brand's Re-factory also aims to recycle or upcycle 1.20 lakh vehicles every year, with 80% of the material being reused in new batteries.

The company also announced that they will introduce seven new electrified vehicles in the C and D segments by 2025. These vehicles will be powered by the brand's latest E-Tech Hybrid technology, offering best-in-class efficiency along with a fun driving experience. Renault also unveiled the upcoming Arkana SUV-Coupe and the next-generation Megane E-Tech Electric.

The carmaker also announced that countries like France, Spain, UK, Italy and Germany will continue to be its key markets in Europe. However, Renault also announced that it will look at increasing its presence in high-potential international markets such as India, Brazil, Russia and Turkey.

Talking about the new logo, Renault confirmed that it will be slowly phased in starting next year and will be incorporated across the entire range by 2024. The new logo is more streamlined with no typogram or brand signature and features an open-ended design, reflecting the brand's openness and transparency.

Renault Megane EV to debut in September 2021 in Munich Motor Show. The carmaker would name the Megane EV as Megane E-Tech Electric.

Renault Megane EV would be able to run 450 km range on a single charge. Renault plans to sell the Megane EV alongside the petrol and diesel variants of the car.

The MeganE was being benchmarked against the Volkswagen ID.4, one of its main rivals. It will be officially revealed next month at the IAA Munich show in Germany.
